Alia Bhatt Makes Her Cannes Red Carpet DEBUT In A Skin-Toned Flower Dress With Off-Shoulder Sleeves

Alia Bhatt is the most awaited actress from Bollywood at the Cannes Film Festival. Her millions of fans' hearts were broken when reports of her cancelling her debut made rounds, but Alia delighted her fans with her surprise appearance. The actress came and ruled the Cannes red carpet with her flowery presence literally.

After Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's glamorous appearance at the Cannes Film Festival, Alia Bhatt set the red carpet ablaze with her jaw-dropping attendance. For the much-awaited International Film Festival, Alia chose to wear a dress from the International label, Schiaparelli. Her body-fitted dress had off-shoulder sleeves with flowery detailing on the hem. 

Alia accentuated her look with her vintage-inspired look that gave out old-world charm and had understated elegance. Soft makeup with a lot of golden highlighter and hair tightly tied in a centre-parted bun completed her look. Alia's appearance is going to be remembered for years in the hearts of her fans.

Earlier, reports were rife that Alia would not be appearing at Cannes 2025. It was reported that she was supposed to jet off to France to attend the Cannes 2025 opening ceremony ahead of her red carpet debut, but according to the buzz, she cancelled it at the last minute. According to a report by the Mid-Day, Alia Bhatt has decided to postpone her Cannes debut in the wake of the current India-Pakistan situation.

A source mentioned that Alia chose to stay back due to the geopolitical tension between India and Pakistan, as she wanted to express her stand with the country amidst the difficult times. The source said:

"As the L'Oreal ambassador, Alia was supposed to make her Cannes debut. She was slated to attend the grand opening ceremony tonight, for which she had to fly over the weekend. But in the current times of geopolitical tension between India and Pakistan, she wanted to express solidarity with the country and decided against going."

For the unversed, the 78th edition of the Cannes Film Festival started on May 13, 2025, and will end on May 24, 2025. One of the highlights of this year's Cannes was that the American acting legend, Rober De Niro was awarded the honorary Palme d'Or for lifetime achievement during the opening ceremony. Several Indian actors like Janhvi Kapoor, Ishaan Khatter, Karan Johar, Nitanshi Goel, and Pratibha Ratna made their appearances felt on the Cannes Red carpet. But all eyes were looking and waiting for Alia Bhatt.
