Akhil Akkineni Younger Than Zainab Ravdjee? Netizens Point Out Ex-Fiancee Was Also Older Than Him

Superstar of Tollywood, Akkineni Nagarjuna's youngest son, Akhil Akkineni, got married to his long-time girlfriend, Zainab Ravdjee, on June 6, 2025. The couple had announced their engagement back in November 2024. Now, wedding photos and videos of the couple have surfaced across various media portals showcasing their intimate and traditional wedding soiree. Nagarjuna took to his social media and shared the first official glimpses of the wedding. As these glimpses went viral, people have speculated about the age difference between the couple. As per reports, Zainab is older than Akhil. 

What is the age difference between Zainab Ravdjee and Akhil Akkineni? 

Sources have reported that while Akhil Akkineni is 30 years old, his wife, Zainab Ravdjee, is 39. She is an artist whose works are exhibited all around the country. She is the daughter of industrialist, Zulfi Ravdjee. The reported nine years of age gap between the couple has not gone unnoticed by people. Many people pointed out that Akhil was previously also in a relationship with an older woman. 

Akhil Akkineni's ex-fiancee was also older than him 

Akhil Akkineni was engaged to Shriya Bhupal, granddaughter of businessman, GVK Reddy. When they got engaged in 2016, Shriya was 26, while Akhil was 22 years old. A year later, their engagement was broken off, and reportedly, the age difference was a significant reason for the split. A Reddit user pointed towards this and said, "He has always been into older women". Another user wrote about Akhil and Zainab's relationship and stated, "They look good in these photos. But I still believe he could do better with someone younger who could match him. He seems to like older women. His last relationship was also with Shriya, who was older than him."

While big age differences between film industry couples are common, with the man being older than the woman, the other way around rarely happens. One of the few popular couples where the wife is older than the husband is that of Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. The couple has an age gap of 10 years. With their nine-year age gap, Zainab and Akhil are getting compared with PC and her husband.

Akhil Akkineni is the son of the Nagarjuna and his second wife, Amala. He is the half-brother of Naga Chaitanya, the Tollywood superstar's son, from his first marriage with Lakshmi Daggubati. Akhil debuted with a movie in 2015, which was his namesake and called Akhil. Apart from that, he is also a skilled cricketer and has played in Celebrity Cricket League. 

Zainab Ravdjee and Akhil Akkineni got married in an intimate and traditional Telugu ceremony at the family studio known as Annapurna Studios. Naga Chaitanya and Shobhita Dhulipala had also gotten married in the same place last year. Photos from the wedding have already gone viral. Nagarjuna also shared the first official photos from the ceremony and announced with immense delight that his son, Akhil, has married his beloved Zainab. In his own words, he wrote:

"With immense joy, Amala and I are delighted to share that our dear son has married his beloved Zainab in a beautiful ceremony (3:35 am) at our home, where our hearts belong. We watched a dream come true surrounded by love, laughter, and those dearest to us. We seek your blessings as they begin this new journey together."
