Aishwarya Rai Dazzles At Cannes, Abhishek Bachchan's Tweet 'Mrs. Shows Up Looking Like..' Surfaces

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan cutely dismissed all the claims about their marital dispute with their joint appearances. However, when Aishwarya was introduced as 'Miss Rai' at an International event, people were sure that she had dropped 'Bachchan' from her surname. Again, the actress gave it back yet again during her Cannes Film Festival by flaunting her sindoor bhari maang. Amidst Aishwarya's dazzling appearances, Abhishek's old tweets went viral during the time when he had openly expressed appreciation for his wife's looks on the red carpet.

Aishwarya made a strong comeback at the Cannes Film Festival as she flaunted her sindoor with a gorgeous ivory-hued Manish Malhotra saree and looked like a queen. Amidst it, her husband, Abhishek Bachchna's old tweet from 2014 surfaced on the internet. The actor, who wouldn't shy away from expressing his love for his wife, Aishwarya, shared a photo of his wife's glamorous look and wrote:

"Almost 52hrs without sleep! Eyes shutting… and the Mrs. Shows up looking like this!! Ok.. Eyes wide open now!"

For the unversed, that year, Aishwarya looked her gorgeous best in a dazzling Roberto Cavalli gown. With bold red lipstick, glamorous makeup, and her bouncy hair styled into curls, she showed her stronghold on the red carpet.

On May 21, 2025, after making her fans wait for an eternity, Aishwarya arrived at the Cannes Film Festival and let her look do the talking. Over the years, she has been facing backlash for her choice of outfits. But this year, Aishwarya surprised everyone with her Manish Malhotra saree. The outfit featured handwoven kadwa ivory Banarasi with golden work on the border. She styled it with a matching sheer dupatta that made her look like a queen. 

Another highlight of her look was her heirloom jewellery. Aishwarya ditched the trending emerald and diamond jewellery. Instead, she opted for red rubies. A huge choker neckpiece featuring red beads, a layered ruby neckpiece, matching cocktail flower ring on both hands completed her look.

Not only this, on Day 2 of her red carpet appearance, Aishwarya wore Gaurav Gupta's black body-fitted gown, featuring dual sequinned work. The actress added a touch of elegance by styling it with a beige-hued shawl which had verses from Bhagwad Gita, which makes it another unique element about her look. 

Glamorous makeup with bold red lipstick accentuated her look. However, it was Aishwarya's hair that accentuated her look. Instead, of leaving them straight, the diva chose to style them in curls and kept them swayed on one side. On the other hand, Aaradhya looked gorgeous in a black ensemble. Aaradhya held her mother's hand as they made their way out to the venue.
