Ahaan Panday Once Got Frustrated When He Was Asked About His Uncle, Chunky, 'Established Myself..'

Ahaan Panday has become the talk of the town after a teaser was dropped for YRF's upcoming film, Saiyaara. In the film, the newcomer will be debuting opposite Aneet Padda, another debutant. However, before this teaser, Ahaan was well-known as Ananya Panday's cousin and influencer, Alanna Panday's brother. He was featured in many videos with both his cousin and sister during the latter's wedding. He was also popular as Aryan Khan, Shah Rukh Khan's son's, best friend. However, old reports are floating around that Ahaan Panday had tried to get away from the nepotism debate by claiming that he was not connected to Chunky Panday, who is his uncle.

Ahaan Panday was known as an Instagram star and Chunky Panday's nephew

Ahaan Panday, much like his sister, Alanna Panday, was popular as an Instagram influencer who was related to Chunky Panday. He was also known as Aryan Khan's best friend. The actor was 19 years old during this time and was trying to make a name for himself through his posts and Dubsmash videos. This was back in 2017, and he had worked in a few short films which he had made with his friends and had also walked the ramp in designer, Nandita Mahtani's fashion show. Ahaan was part of the star kids circle, spotted in parties with Aryan Khan, Alaya F., Shanaya Kapoor and more. 

Ahaan Panday had refuted having any connection with Chunky Panday 

As per a Spotboye report, Ahaan Panday had come live on Instagram to get candid with his followers about his life and aspirations. In the live video, he shared fitness tips and reportedly admitted to being in a relationship. He also shared that he wanted to study cinema and eventually become an actor. However, after disclosing many personal things about his life, the youngster had gotten frustrated when asked if he was related to actor, Chunky Panday. The teenager had said that he was not connected to the actor. No clips from the live video could be found now, but Spotboye reported that Ahaan Panday had said this: 

"It's funny that my surname is Panday but I'm nowhere connected to him. My dad is Aloke Sharad Panday and that's the only Panday connection I have. I have established myself in the B-town through my popularity."

Ironically, Ahaan Panday had contradicted himself, since Aloke Sharad Panday's nickname is Chikki Panday, and he is the brother of Chunky Panday. Moreover, Ahaan was part of the star-kids circle and friends with Bollywood's superstar's son. Therefore, Redittors reacted to this statement of Ahaan Panday and pointed out that he wanted to run away from the nepotism tag. 

Netizens react to Ahaan Panday's statement that he had established himself in B-Town 

Reddit users reacted to Ahaan Panday's statement that he was self-established and did not hold back with their opinions. One user wrote,  ''Trying to get away with the NEPOTISM DEBATE even before his debut... And no Ahaan, you haven't ESTABLISHED yourself yet. And whatever little people know of you is because you hang out with A GRADE NEPOS. And also because AAKHRI PASTA is your UNCLE." 

Some netizens mocked him and said that now star kids will start disowning their families to look like struggling outsiders. Another hoped that the youngster would get in trouble at home for disowning his uncle publicly. Meanwhile, another user pointed out that Aloke Sharad Panday was, in fact, Chunky Panday's brother and that both uncle and nephew looked like. 

Ahaan Panday is now on very amicable terms with cousin Ananya Panday 

Although Ahaan Panday had allegedly made this statement back in 2017, as reported by Spotboye, he is very cordial with his cousin, Ananya Panday. The duo's video went viral while dancing to Saat Samundar Paar at Alanna Panday's wedding. During Raksha Bandhan, in 2022, Ananya Panday had also shared a photo with Ahaan Panday and called him the 'the light of her life'. For whatever reason, 19-year-old Ahaan might have disowned his uncle, but now the actor has embraced his connections ahead of his YRF's Saiyaara film debut opposite Aneet Padda.
