After a long time, Aamir Khan has come back on the screens with a powerful film. His film, Sitaare Zameen Par has been in the headlines since the day of its release. Sitaare Zameen Par, the spiritual sequel of the 2009 film, Taare Zameen Par, saw an amazing weekend in terms of collection. The film released on June 20, 2025 and started off with a bang, earning Rs. 10.70 crore. On the second day (June 21, 2025), the film saw a good raise and earned Rs. 19.90 crores. The film was not ready to stop there, on the third day (June 22, 2025), it earned Rs. 26.70 crore, making the overall weekend collection of Rs. 57.3 crore. By Day 5 (June 24, 2025), the box office collection had reached a total of Rs. 74.40 crore. According to a report by Mint, the worldwide collection of this powerful film crossed the Rs. 100 crore milestone by earning Rs. 123 crore. 

The plot of the film, Sitaare Zameen Par

The film, Sitaare Zameen Par follows a basketball coach (played by Aamir Khan), who is suspended and as a punishment, is asked to train a group of neurodivergent people. Initially, he is hesitant towards it slowly and gradually, he starts to bond with the team. He also discovers a new perspective on life. With a supportive wife beside him, 'Sunita' (played by Genelia Deshmukh), he teaches them basketball and they teach him friendship and kindness. The film shows how everyone is unique and beautiful in their own way. 

The film is directed by R.S. Prasanna and produced by Aamir Khan. The film stars Aamir Khan in the lead. Alongside him, the film stars Genelia Deshmukh, Aroush Datta, Vedant Sharma, Simran Mangeshkar, Dolly Ahaluwalia and more. Each and every actor brought their own magic on screen, creating a very good cinematic experience for the audience.

This impactful and powerful film received a lot of love not just from the audience but from other celebrities as well. A lot of celebrities took to their Instagram handle to praise the film. The buzz around the film started when cricket legend, Sachin Tendulkar lovingly met the cast, especially the neurodivergent actors. Later, comedian, Vir Das called this film, ‘funny and refreshing’. Actor and one of the most loved comedians, Kapil Sharma also shared a video on his Instagram of meeting the cast and called it ‘memory of a lifetime’. More celebrities like Riteish Deshmukh, Darsheel Safary and more appreciated the film on their social media. 

The film received a lot of appreciation and positive responses from the fans. Most fans called the film, “perfect family entertainer”.
