Aamir Khan is known as 'Mr. Perfectionist' of Bollywood, with his meticulous performance in films. However, the actor has also garnered significant attention for his personal life. Once the Khan family feud came under scrutiny when Aamir's brother, Faissal Khan, accused the actor of keeping him confined, allegedly due to mental health issues. However, now Faissal opened up about their past problems and claimed that his brother was 'brainwashed' by family members.
In an interview with Pinkvilla, Faissal Khan opened up about the time in his life when no one gave him any work after he left home over family issues. However, it was his brother, Aamir, who made some calls to help Faissal get a job. The latter actor also stated that his brother, Aamir, is kind and would never do him wrong. However, family members who did not like the brothers being close, brainwashed the PK actor, claims Faissal. Aamir's brother was quoted as saying:
“Aamir is very kind. Aamir ka ye kaam hi nahi ho sakta ki Aamir aisa soche aur ye sab kare. He was brainwashed by the family- some aunts, uncles, and close ones. Kuch logon ko bhaiyon ki closeness bhi achhi nahi lagti. Wo chahte hai ki bhai separate rahe. I've experienced all this over the years.”
Faissal Khan mentioned in the interview that he never got to openly talk with his family and Aamir about their issues. He further mentioned that he would not have left home if his family hadn't raised the issues of taking away his signatory rights. Faissal stated that many things are still unclear regarding their family feud. He shared:
“Aamir aur family se meri baat hi nahi hui khul ke ke aapne aisa kyun kiya?” Aap logo ne signatory rights lene ki baat ki toh maine ghar chhoda. Warna main kahan ghar chhor raha tha. Jab aapne ek gaal pe thappad mara tab hi maine react kiya. Kuch clarity mili hi nahi hai kaafi cheezon par.”
Given the family feud and rumours of mental illness surrounding him, Faissal Khan did not get to work on a lot of projects. The actor has been seen in very few projects. Faissal appeared in a minor and uncredited role in Aamir Khan's blockbuster debut film, Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak. Then he marked his own debut with the 1994 film, Madhosh. Then Aamir and Faissal both appeared in the 2000 film, Mela, which failed to make a mark in the box-office, however the brothers' pairing was appreciated in the movie. Faissal last appeared in the Kannada movie, Oppanda in 2022.
