Ashutosh's Son's Wedding Was 'Lagaan' Coded, Danced To 'Mitwa', Aamir-Gracy Join The Celebration

Renowned filmmaker, Ashutosh Gowariker's son, Konark Gowariker, hopped on the forever train with the love of his life. On March 2, 2025, Konark tied the knot with Niyati Kanakia, daughter of real estate magnate, Rasesh Babubhai Kanakia of Kanakia Builders. Following the wedding, the family hosted a grand reception in Mumbai, attended by business tycoons, political figures and, of course, several of Bollywood’s A-listers.

Ashutosh Gowariker's son. Konark Gowariker married real estate mogul, Rasesh Kanakia's daughter, Niyati Kanakia. The inside photos and videos from the wedding have emerged online, and Ashutosh's landmark film, Lagaan, was an important theme. The wedding was attended by the Lagaan leads, Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh.

For the occasion, Mr. Perfectionist, Aamir Khan looked handsome in a sleek dark grey suit with a black shirt. The actor looked classy and sophisticated in the polished attire. He paired the look with black framed glasses and black formal shoes, adding a sharp edge to his look. Gracy Singh, on the other hand, looked gorgeous in a dazzling pastel pink lehenga.

The lehenga featured intricate floral embroidery and sequin detailing. It also showcased a bright pink hem, adding a vibrant contrast to the rest of her fit. Gracy paired the look with a short-sleeved choli with similar floral embroidery and a net dupatta with a pastel floral embroidered border. The actress completed her look with delicate earrings and a simple bracelet. Her long hair was styled in beautiful curls.

Ashutosh Gowariker's son, Konark's wedding, turned out to be a love-filled celebration. The filmmaker also expressed his joy by giving a special performance. An inside video from one of the celebrations shows the happy dad Ashutosh Gowariker performing to Lagaan’s song, Mitwa. The father donned a blue bandhgala with a pair of matching pyjamas and grooved to the hit song, showing how delighted he was for his son Konark's wedding.

Konark Gowariker, the son of acclaimed filmmaker, Ashutosh Gowariker and producer, Sunita Gowariker, married Niyati in a beautiful ceremony. The couple's pre-wedding festivities kicked off with an intimate haldi ceremony on February 28, 2025. For the wedding, Niyati stunned in a pastel pink lehenga choli with gold and silver detailing and embellishments.

She draped a matching dupatta over her shoulders, adorned with similar embellishments. Her look was completed with a diamond choker necklace, a multi-layered necklace, matching earrings, a maang teeka, and bangles. Her gorgeous ensemble was beautifully balanced by soft glam makeup. The groom, Konark, looked dapper in a cream-toned sherwani with silver threadwork worn over a churidar pant. 

Other celebrities in attendance

Aamir Khan's ex-wife, Kiran Rao, graced the wedding with Nupur Shikhare. Sonali Bendre arrived with her husband, Goldie Behl. Riteish Deshmukh, Genelia Deshmukh, Gayatri Oberoi, and Anu Malik were also seen arriving with his wife and daughters, Anmol Malik and Ada Malik. Pooja Hegde, Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Javed Akhtar, and his actor-wife, Shabana Azmi, were also seen at the wedding reception.
