Lokesh Kanagaraj is known for delivering high-octane drama and multi-starrer films, with intense fight scenes and power-packed music. The recently released Coolie, delivers no less. The film stars Rajinikanth as the protagonist. However, the cameo of Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan has also generated a lot of excitement among fans. Amid the hype for the film, rumours claimed that Aamir had received a hefty pay for his cameo in Coolie. However, the actor recently revealed his actual shocking paycheck amount for the film. 

Reports claimed that Aamir Khan had charged Rs. 20 crores for a 15-minute cameo in Coolie 

Aamir Khan made a cameo in Coolie as 'Dahaa'. In an earlier interview with Zoom, the actor had talked about his cameo and said that as a huge fan of Rajinikanth, he said yes to the small cameo as soon as he heard that the 'Thalaiva' would be in the film. However, reports soon surfaced claiming that Aamir had charged Rs. 20 crores for a 15-minute appearance in the movie. However, the PK actor has put all these rumours to rest by revealing his actual paycheck for Coolie.

Aamir Khan says he did not charge anything for Coolie 

Aamir Khan dismissed the reports and revealed, in an interview with Deccan Chronicle, that he did not charge a single penny for his cameo in Coolie. The actor further mentioned that he has too much love and respect for Rajinikanth to think about money. Aamir considers getting the opportunity to share the screen with the Tamil mega-star as his reward. He also gave credit to both Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna for being the 'real heroes' of the film. Aamir was quoted as saying:

"I haven't charged a single rupee for Coolie. It's a great honor to share screen space with Rajinikanth, and that is a huge reward for me. I just made a guest appearance. Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna are the real heroes, which is why audiences are loving the film and rushing to theaters."

Aamir Khan to star in another Lokesh Kanagaraj film? 

Aamir Khan said in an interview with Zoom that he agreed to a small cameo in Coolie without even reading the script, knowing Rajinikanth would be part of it. However, in the same interview, the Bollywood actor also revealed that he will also be doing another film with Lokesh, but with a bigger role. This has led to speculation about whether the director will make a spin-off film with Aamir reprising his role as 'Dahaa', or if he will play a new character in the Lokesh Cinematic Universe. Aamir Khan said in the interview:

“I’m also doing a film with Lokesh again. I mean a proper film. After he finishes Kaithi, he and I are doing a film together in the second half of next year. We are doing a film together."
