'I Still Have A Heart...' Aamir Ali Confirms Dating Again After Divorce From Sanjeeda Shaikh

Aamir Ali and Sanjeeda Shaikh were once synonyms of love, but it soon changed, and they parted ways. While their love story started with hearts, rainbows and all things sweet, their separation was an ugly one, as they despised talking about each other. However, it seems like Aamir has decided to move on in his life as he confirms love knocked at his door again.

Aamir Ali talked about dating again after five years of separation

The thing about divorce is that it leaves a person confused about whether to try again or not. But seems like Aamir has decided to take the leap of faith and retry his luck in love. The 43-year-old actor, who thought at one point in time that he won't be able to love again, fell in love with Ankita Kukreti.  

Talking about his blooming love, Aamir told ETimes that everyone deserves love and he had to move on at some point in time. He is currently in a happy space as he is getting to know her, and it feels different. He was quoted as saying:

"Everybody deserves love. Of course, someone had to move on before anything happened, and someone is moving on now. I'm in a happy space as I get to know her closely and nicely. It feels different. It feels good. And I'm enjoying this place."

Aamir further added that he always tells his love, Ankita, that she made him realise that he still has a heart. He revealed that it's been five months since they started dating, and it is still very new. He shared:

"I always tell her one thing: Thank you for making me realise I still have a heart. It just started now, almost five months. It's just the beginning of something."

Aamir Ali revealed he thought he wasn't capable of love

Further, in the same media interaction, Aamir Ali revealed that he never gave up on love. However, there was a time when he thought that he wasn't capable of loving anymore, and to his surprise within a week's time, Aamir found love in Ankita and the moment he realised that she is the one. He was quoted as saying:

"Sometimes you feel everything is normal, but then you don't know what is going on. Last year I was meeting a lot of people but the minute something happens, I run away. I started thinking, ‘I don't think I'm capable enough (to love) anymore’. And then this happened. It all happened in a week’s time. I was like - Why am I behaving like this? Why am I being a little more emotional than normal? Then I realised I like this girl."

Aamir Ali met Sanjeeda in 2007 while shooting for a show, Kya Dill Mein Hai. After dating each other and winning the dance reality show Nach Baliye's title, they tied the knot in 2012. It was in 2018 when they welcomed a daughter via surrogacy. However, in 2020, they announced their separation and were co-parenting their daughter. But after their divorce in 2021, Sanjeeda became a single parent, and Aamir Ali wasn't allowed to be part of his daughter's life.
